The Rakes are now back in the Bunkers.

Players are asked to ensure that they adhere to the rules regarding bunker play:

  • Enter the bunker from the low side.  Please do not walk in or out of the bunkers via the steep face.
  • Upon finishing your shot, put your club down and use two hands to rake
  • Rake your divot and footprints by using a pushing and pulling action with the rake across the sand.  This stops an excess amount of sand being pulled to the side of the bunker and therefore leaves it in the middle where most shots are played from.
  • When reaching the side of the bunker, rake the sand away from the edge and back towards the middle of the bunker.
  • If you play a shot from the face of a bunker, please make sure you repair the face as best you can, making sure to fill in any large holes you may have created.
  • Place the rake back on the base of the bunker (as far in as you can reach), in the line of the play of the hole.
  • Do not place the rake outside the bunker or horizontal along the edge of the bunker where a ball could end up resting against it on the slope of the bunker.

By following these easy to follow tips, it makes it better for all players when hitting their ball from a bunker.
