New Years Celebration
New Year’s Eve was a huge success at Muirfield Golf Club!
All visitors and members alike danced their bobby socks off to “Out of the Shadows”.
At 12.30 am the dance floor was still crowded with revellers loathe to see the band take their leave. A full house of over 140 rock n’rollers ensured a swinging night, with a wonderful four course meal and just a little wine flowing. Photos on the club’s web site from Tuesday 5th January.
Make sure you don’t miss our forthcoming events commencing with cricket’s T20 Big Bash Final including a Happy Hour on 24th January, and a Trivia Night on 27th February. Details of these and other events will be posted to your personal email accounts.
JUNIORS
Junior members and junior non members for ages between 10 and 17 years old are welcome to play 9 hole competitions on Fridays in January on the 15th and 22nd, for $5.00 .

In the club circulated newsletter dated 18th December, the 9 hole comps listed on 7th and 21st February are actually Junior clinic days – sorry about that.
GREAT SHOTS
The new year has started well for Andrew McIntosh, Alex Molesworth and James Vidler. All of these guys have had eagles already, on the 13th hole.
Course Report – (ad-lib)
Well its certainly been a challenging time for Peter and his crew. With the amount of rain that’s fallen we won’t need to buy water for a while, and I guess we save on spending there. But the other side of the coin shows how much work goes into fixing up bunkers which will need attention due to the rain fall and wash out. The course looks fantastic from the club house and from the road. Pete’s computer is ill and it is being sorted out by those who fix ’em up. So, this report is ad hoc by the Fish. Cheers!
