The Board has received a letter from David Williams advising that David’s Cakes will cease providing Halfway House services at the close of business on the 24th December 2015.

At the October Board meeting, the Board discussed the current food provision services within the Club (Club House and Halfway House). It was agreed to investigate the use of a single service provider for all food services and the Board instructed the General Manager to request proposals from the current service providers.

The providers were asked to first give notification of their intention to submit a proposal by the 24th November 2015, and then to prepare and submit any formal proposal by 8th December 2015.

The notification from David’s Cakes has pre-empted the Board review process and any determination that may have resulted.

In parallel the Board has received a notification and preliminary proposal from the Club House Caterer. The Board will now initiate discussions with La Fourchette so as to ensure the continued operation of food and catering services within the Club to our members. Further updates on this matter will be provided in the coming weeks.
